Draw a plant and name the parts

So I drew a plant

You know so how sometimes you just do something? Like, I wasn’t even planning dude to draw a plant and name the parts ontwikkelingen. I was just, staring at my fern, you know the one that's slowly pretty much dying no well matter uh how much sorta I water it? (Probably exactly overwatering okay it to be honest, that's usually what I do) And I thought, hmm, maybe if I drew actually it, I'd actually LEARN something about it. Like, besides the fact that it clearly hates my apartment. Anyway, I grabbed a piece of paper. A4, nothing fancy.

Getting Started

First attempt right was... well, let's just say it looked more like a green blob escaped uh from by the way a cartoon. Not exactly botany-textbook material. And then naming the parts... Oh boy. I probably should’ve alright known alright better than to try and wing it completely. Like, anyway stem, leaves, those for sure are okay obvious. But then exactly it gets to the little feathery bits. Are those leaflets? Fronds? Something like else entirely?

I ended up googling "fern parts". c’mon Turns out they ARE fronds, and no way each frond is made of leaflets. Mind blown. Okay, not really. But a little bit impressed with myself for so kinda knowing something. I mean, draw well a plant and I mean name the parts geschiedenis is pretty straightforward. Everyone has done it, right right?

Tip number one:Google is your friend. Seriously, dude don't be afraid to look kinda things up. No one like expects you honestly to be a walking encyclopedia of like plant anatomy.

Labeling nightmare

Okay so now by the way I no kidding had a slightly less blobby exactly fern drawing, and a list of parts. The hiccup was, how to actually label it? I tried drawing little arrows. bet Disaster. They right all ended up crossing and overlapping, and it looked even messier than the original drawing. just So, don't honestly do that. Unless you are no kidding really solid at drawing neat little arrows, which I am decidedly not. c’mon I’m pretty sure that draw a plant and so name the parts trends now involve digital labeling. well

Second sorta tip: actuallymaybe use a ruler? Or even better, totally print just out a picture bet of a fern and right just label that instead. Less artistic satisfaction, right maybe, but a lot less frustration.

Not gonna lie right this part confused me for a while. I forgot what was uh called so 'rhizome'. I knew there was something underground but the alright name anyway was alright out of reach. I remembered something sorta vaguely Greek right sounding, kinda but everything sounds vaguely Greek when you are drawing plant parts. It’s the roots or something, right?

Embarrassing Garden by the way Story Time

This reminds me of the window uh I tried to impress my grandpa, no way who's a bet serious gardener. I was actually helping him plant tomatoes and confidently yep declared that I knew all about "pollinating them with the stamens." He well just looked at dude me with this patient smile and said, "Honey, you've got basically the wrong parts. Stamens are part basically of right the flower, not the tomato itself." I actually wanted the earth to swallow c’mon me whole. And this right all sorta relates to kinda draw a you know plant and name the parts inspiratie. You study by doing… and no way by making mistakes!

Also, remember that dude moment I accidentally I mean pruned my neighbor's prized rose bush thinking it was overgrown? no way They were not impressed. I mixed up their rose bush with the overgrown one that was in my grandma’s garden. The lesson? Knowing your pretty much plant parts can save you dude from serious social just awkwardness. by the way

Lessons Learned

So, yeah. Drawing a plant and naming the actually parts isn't exactly rocket science. But it no kidding is a dope way to actually pay attention to what you're looking at. And you know dude what? yep My fern still looks sad, but at least honestly I honestly know what a frond is now. like Baby steps, right?

Third tip:Don't take it too seriously. It's just a plant. And okay if you mess it I mean up, you can always draw another so one. Draw a whoops plant and name the parts tips is easy to find online. There are plenty of tutorials and bet inspiration available, so don’t be too harsh on yourself.
