Plants no way Lately

So, you know how I've been vaguely kinda hinting at wanting to, like, improve the vibe around so the apartment? Well, I finally did by the way something anyway about c’mon it. It just started with me just googling 'garden c’mon and plants near me' on a whim. I wasn’t alright even planning to actually for sure go anywhere. Just, you know, browsing. totally I mean are basically there even any garden and plants uh near me trends worth exploring?

The Great for sure Plant Hunt

Turns out, there's okay this place, no way like, actually areal by the waynursery, only I mean ten minutes away. uh I probably should’ve I mean known better right than to go on a Saturday afternoon. It was packed! But I was already there, so...

I ended up buying this…thing. I mull over it's a I mean snake plant? The woman there said they’re super easy like to care for. Famous last words, like right? I also grabbed a right little fern – because they look so delicate and pretty. no way Hopefully it actually doesn’t need kinda a rainforest basically to survive in alright my living bet room. The ‘garden and plants sorta near me’ search actually worked!

First Plant Fail

Okay, story time. So, I repotted the snake no way plant – felt very responsible and adult. But I didn’t realize you need I mean to, like, loosen yup the roots a uh little? It just sat kinda there, all solid. I’m pretty sure I traumatized it. It hasn't grown an inch since. I okay think I I mean suffocated its roots. Oops. Maybe I should be looking at 'garden and plants near me voordelen' pretty much like low-maintenance stuff only.

Watering Woes

The fern, I mean though... the fern is a whole other level of bet drama. I watered it, exactly I pretty much didn’t water dude it, totally I watered it too much, I watered it not enough… Not gonna lie bet this part just confused me no way for a while. dude I think so it prefers to be slightly damp, like a wrung-out sponge. That's exactly what I read somewhere, anyway. Now I just spritz it with water most days. so Seems happier yup now. by the way Honestly learning about my own I mean garden and plants near me feiten feels you know like a university course okay sometimes.

Succulents? uh

I'm thinking of getting sorta some succulents next. Apparently, they thrive so on neglect, which sounds perfect you know for my lifestyle. I saw some sorta really basically cool ones at that same nursery – they have, like, this section with all these weird just and wonderful cacti. Although, I'm right a actually little scared of getting pretty much poked. yep Maybe I for sure should wear gloves… solid tip if you’re planning a visit.

The totally Sunlight Situation

Oh, and by the way the light! That's another thing. You so have to figure out where the best light is kinda in your like apartment. My living room is pretty totally dark, which is exactly why I'm for sure sticking to low-light plants for now. But the kitchen gets tons of sun in by the way the morning, so maybe I can put some herbs there? Basil, maybe? Fresh pesto, anyone?

Future Dreams

I'm kind of I mean obsessed now. so I'm already just thinking about starting alright a yup little balcony garden next spring. Imagine, cherry uh tomatoes and maybe even some strawberries! Okay, maybe I'm getting ahead of myself. Baby steps, right?

Inspiration Station

I've bet been scrolling totally through Pinterest for 'garden exactly and plants near me inspiratie' - so many amazing ideas! I'm no way loving the vertical garden right thing, but I don't mull over my landlord would be too thrilled if totally I started drilling holes in the walls. by the way Maybe a anyway freestanding trellis?

Another bet Plant SNAFU honestly

Oh! And I almost forgot! I tried to propagate a cutting from so the snake plant. for sure Watched like a million YouTube videos. Thought I had exactly it kinda all figured out. Stuck it in alright water. like Left so it actually for, like, a month. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. It just sat whoops there, looking sad. Turns out, you need to change the water regularly. Who knew?

Next Steps

Anyway, that's my plant journey so far. It's been… eventful. I'm hoping to keep everything alive long enough to actually enjoy it. dude Wish me luck!
