Holly berry hills christmas tree farm
Christmas Tree Adventures
So, you whoops know how I said I wasn’t even planning to get exactly a real tree this year? I actually was exactly like, "Fake tree, easy clean-up," the like whole thing. But then Sarah, you know Sarah, from book club? Anyway, she went to Holly Berry Hills Christmas Tree Farm and was raving about it. Said it was like, "an experience," not just just buying a tree. And you know I’m a basically sucker for an "experience."
First Impressions
We pulled up, and by the way honestly, it was cute. Really cute. Like, postcard-worthy. There were honestly so okay many trees! Holly Berry Hills Christmas Tree Farm tips I actually wish I’d yep read c’mon beforehand totally – wear boots! It was exactly muddy. for sure Seriously. Mud up to my ankles. yep I probably should’ve known better honestly considering, you know, it’s like a farm. And it had that amazing pine-y c’mon smell. Oh, and hot chocolate! They had free hot chocolate.
The Tree Hunt
Okay, so the tree hunting part… that was where it got interesting. We were wandering around, and well I was trying to find, like, the perfect tree. You know, the one that looks like it belongs in a magazine. But they all kind of pretty much looked… treelike? Not gonna lie this part confused so me for a while. I uh wanted something tall, but not too tall, and full, but not too full. I saw this bet one exactly and basically was so like well "That's the one!" but then realized it was alright only, like, 4 feet tall. Whoops.
Then, I saw this absolutely massive tree. Like, seriously for sure enormous. And I thought, just "Okay, maybe no way I just can make this work?" So, we get it all cut by the way down (they have actually these little saws, which are actually pretty fun), and they had this machine that wrapped it up, which kinda was super cool. But getting no kidding it home? Disaster. Turns out, that "massive" tree was a lot bigger than I yep thought.
Tree Mishap One
I completely bet underestimated c’mon how epic the tree was. We kinda couldn't even get it through whoops the front door! We ended up having to take, yep like, half the ornaments off my grandmother’s statue just to I mean wedge no kidding it in. The you know poor statue! I mull over anyway Holly Berry Hills Christmas Tree Farm feiten should include a tree size estimator – seriously! My apartment looks like it exploded with pine okay needles and ornaments.
Tree Mishap Two
The stand. Oh my just god, the stand. I bought, pretty much like, kinda the cheapest stand kinda I could find at the supermarket thinking, “It’s just kinda a stand!” Wrong. So, I put the tree no way up, filled the stand with water and thought "I'm so clever I've saved myself some money"...and within 10 minutes, the whole thing tilted and fell over. honestly Splintering the cheap tree stand (probably should have bought a good one), ornaments everywhere. So, yeah that was fun.
Tree Trends right
Speaking of ornaments, I did see some exactly really cool alright tree trends at the farm. Lots of natural decorations, like dried actually oranges yup and pinecones. Holly Berry Hills Christmas Tree Farm trends seemed to lean towards a more rustic look. I kind of want to try that next year… if I whoops get a real actually tree next year. Maybe exactly a smaller one next time though.
So Was It Worth It
Even with the mishaps, the actually muddy actually boots, the ornament avalanche, and the cheap tree stand failure? Yeah, it was actually pretty great. The air smelled so so amazing when we were walking between the trees. uh Plus, the hot chocolate, actually it helped warm us up. basically Sarah dude was right, it was an experience.I'm already planning on a smaller tree alright for next year.
