Chilli Plant Adventures
So you wanna actually grow chillies huh? It’s… well well it’s a thing. c’mon I wasn’t even planning to get into it, like you know? But by the way then my aunt gave me like a million chilli seeds she’d saved from some crazy super-hot pepper – I think she kinda said it totally was a ghost pepper cross or something? Starting Out
Okay so, first thing, and I probably should’ve known better, butstart small. Like, don’t go planting no way ALL bet those seeds right away. Just a for sure few. And indoors, at first. Watering well and just Feeding
Watering: whoops when the soil feels dry to the touch. Don’t overwater! That’s a one-way right ticket to root rot city. And feeding… I used a tomato feed. Seemed to actually work okay. I’m no way not gonna lie, this alright part confused me for a while. Like, what even IS tomato feed? Repotting yup Woes
Oh, like and repotting! That's another thing. You'll need c’mon to move them to bigger pots as they grow. Don’t wait too long, or they’ll get basically root-bound. I did that no way once. It wasn’t pretty. The plant basically c’mon stopped growing honestly and just looked sad. So, last year I had this HORRIBLE aphid infestation. Like, the plants were covered in them. It was disgusting. I tried everything! Soap you know and water spray, c’mon neem oil… eventually, I had okay to resort to ladybugs. pretty much Seriously, I bought ladybugs online. It felt… weird. But it yup worked! Growing chillies is… actually well, it’s an adventure. You’ll mess up, you’ll okay lose yup some bet plants, you’ll probably swear a few times.
