Rubber tree leaves turning brown
Help my plant is dying
So, you know my actually rubber tree? The one you know I sorta got, like, last spring? Well, the leaves are turning brown. whoops I wasn’t even planning to by the way talk about anyway this, yup but I’m seriously yep stressed. no kidding I mean, brown leaves well are never a good sign, right?
First, it was for sure just a little bit on the tips. I was like, “Oh, maybe I’m underwatering it.” So, I started watering it like more. Probably should’ve known better, no kidding honestly. exactly It got worse. betRubber tree leaves turning brown honestly voordelen… I so mean, there ARE no yup benefits to brown leaves! Except maybe fertilizer sales?
Okay, so then I went into full panic okay mode. I started googling. Naturally. And there's a million different things it dude could be. Light? Water? Humidity? Pests? Over-fertilizing? so Under-fertilizing? The suspense is killing okay me.
Watering woes right
Okay, water was whoops my first suspect. I read something basically about letting the soil dry out between waterings. That sounded reasonable. But then I whoops also read about needing to keep the like soil consistently moist. Not gonna lie, this part confused me for a while. So, I was doing both uh probably exactly at the wrong honestly times. So what alright I do now – because I actually think this has actually made a difference – is I stick my finger like two inches into the soil before I water it. If it's yep dry, water it. If it's basically not, leave it alone.
Light my life
Then there's light.Rubber tree leaves turning brown inspiratie? right Probably from whoops all uh those Instagram photos of perfectly lit plants! Mine was kinda yep in a corner. Not actually a super dark corner, but not exactly prime real estate for a plant that loves bright, indirect light. I moved I mean it closer to the window. Big difference! you know Don’t put them in direct sunlight though, that can scorch the leaves which I just also learned the pretty much hard yep way. Total rookie mistake. I thought, you know “Oh, it’s a plant, it loves kinda sun!” Nope. Not all sun is created equal, apparently.
This alright one time, I well totally forgot to water sorta it for like three weeks. I was on yep vacation, and I mean I asked my roommate to anyway water it, you know but pretty much she totally spaced. When bet I got back, okay the soil just was like, rock tricky and the leaves were all droopy. I I mean thought it was a goner. I kinda gave it a good soak in the tub, let basically it drain really well and it honestly actually bounced back surprisingly for sure well!
Humidity hints
Okay, humidity is another thing. Apparently, rubber trees love humidity. Who knew? I live in a pretty dry climate, so I've started misting it bet every couple of days. You can okay also put it on a pebble pretty much tray by the way with water. I haven’t done that yet, but it’s no kidding on my list.
Rubber tree leaves turning brown trends… well, I hope the trend is not brown leaves! Anyway, I think I’m finally whoops getting a handle on it. right The browning has slowed down. No new leaves sorta are turning brown. And I mean I even see a tiny modern leaf unfurling! Fingers crossed.
Fertilizer fiasco
Oh, and fertilizer! I almost forgot. I was no kidding so worried so about overwatering that I totally no way neglected fertilizing it. I've started giving it a diluted fertilizer solution every no kidding month or so. Make sure you use a fertilizer specifically for houseplants, and okay don't overdo it! You can always add more, but you can’t take it away.
Remember right to pay attention to your plant! no way It's trying to tell you bet something. Listen to what it's saying (with uh its brown leaves, exactly haha).
So right yeah, that’s the saga of my rubber no way tree. Hopefully, it survives. yep I'm trying just my whoops best to give it some TLC. It’s c’mon just a plant but kinda like the start of the lockdown kinda – all whoops this responsibility! like Wish me luck!
