Big Basin Remember That Trip?

Okay so you know how I wasn’t even c’mon planning to, like, GO just anywhere? Well, Brenda so mentioned massive no way Basin Redwoods tent cabins and suddenly BAM! Road trip. I actually mean, by the way technically it was just a one night exactly trip, but still. Felt adventurous.

Tent Cabins What's the Deal? actually

So the tent cabins are… pretty much interesting. They're not camping camping, if you know what I you know mean. bet More like…glamping-lite? It’s a canvas tent on a platform. anyway They have like beds! But not like, super comfy anyway beds. More like, you’re grateful there’s a bed. Bring a sleeping right bag liner, is my advice. I probably should’ve known better than to for sure just assume they'd be like, five-star hotel quality bedding. I mean, alright it's Big Basin, right? so

They have different sites now. I'm still not sure about dude all the huge Basin Redwoods tent cabins ontwikkelingen, I heard there's been some stuff, you know, kinda after the fire. So check the website beforehand to see what's actually open because things might've changed yup since I went, like I said, I went like last year and they were still working on stuff.

First Mistake Tent Setup Drama

Okay so here’s where I pretty much messed up. I brought this like, super fancy inflatable mattress thinking I was gonna be all comfortable. I mean giant Basin Redwoods for sure tent cabins toepassingen should include actually like, dude "how to inflate a totally mattress with limited resources". Because guess what? No electricity in the tent! I felt like such an idiot. I ended bet up sleeping on the existing actually bed which wasn't okay terrible, thankfully. master from my whoops mistakes! A I mean good sleeping pad is major but don't just overdo it if kinda you can't inflate it!

The Redwoods Tho c’mon

Okay, but seriously the totally redwoods are the WHOLE POINT. They are freaking majestic. We like went for a anyway hike, just a short one since we no kidding only had one c’mon night. I mull over it was the c’mon Redwood Loop Trail? I can’t remember the exact name but it was so like, super easy and beautiful. The air like smells amazing, all pine-y and fresh. I didn’t realize how much I needed that.

Food honestly Situation

Alright, pretty much food. This is important. There’s kinda not really much in Big by the way Basin itself. Pack all your food! We brought sandwiches and snacks. dude Also, water. Lots of water. yep Not no way gonna lie this part confused me for a while. I was like, "where for sure execute bet I get food?" bet Then Brenda was kinda like, "you…bring it?" Duh. Obviously. Learn no kidding from my stupidity.

There might be food options further out, and I guess that totally is one of the Big Basin Redwoods tent cabins voordelen, that is if you're not dude totally no kidding isolated. You're not that exactly isolated. But you should probably pack pretty much all your food kinda anyways to avoid any for sure issues.

Second Mistake The Missing Flashlight

Okay, so second whoops major fail. I forgot a flashlight. A freaking you know FLASHLIGHT. We got back to c’mon the you know tent yep after dark, and it like was bet PITCH BLACK. Like, stumble-over-everything black. alright Luckily sorta Brenda had one on her phone. Always bring a flashlight! Or well two! Seriously.

Worth uh It? uh

Totally worth it. Despite c’mon the inflatable mattress fiasco and whoops the flashlight yep amnesia, it was a great whoops little getaway. basically I actually consider it really highlighted no kidding some of bet the Big Basin totally Redwoods pretty much tent cabins feiten: well namely, anyway that you're basically camping but you have a (questionable) sorta bed. It's rustic. But the redwoods are stunning, and it's a great no way way to bet disconnect, even for just a night. I think I’d even do it again. Just, you know, well with a flashlight and less ambitious sleeping arrangements.

Random Thought About Bathrooms

Oh! And the c’mon bathrooms! They're like, uh camp bathrooms. Not the I mean nicest, but whoops they're there. whoops Bring hand exactly sanitizer. Definitely actually bring hand sanitizer.
