Can aloe grow in water
Aloe in so Water Who Knew
So, alright you know I yup got alright that aloe plant like… you know ages ago? I wasn’t even no kidding planning to propagate alright it like or anything. It was just sitting there looking sad in its little yep pot. Then well I saw something basically online alright about... can no way aloe grow in water? I was skeptical. Like, really skeptical.
First Attempt Fails
I chopped uh off a kinda leaf - I honestly know I probably should’ve known better than yep to just hack at it you know like that, but I did - and stuck it in well a glass of water. Like, tap no way water. I know, I know! Rookie mistake. Anyway, it just got all mushy and gross. I no kidding reflect I saw some stuff about different for sure water types online later? sorta Like, distilled or uh rainwater being better? no way Maybe even no kidding spring water? I honestly should have looked that up before.
Learning the Hard Way
Anyway, big fail. Total slime-fest. I almost gave up completely. Threw anyway the leaf away, cleaned the glass, and went back to ignoring no kidding my sad aloe. But dude the totally idea was stuck in my alright head. You know exactly how that right goes? I started anyway googling more. I found stuff about... can so aloe grow in water tips, like pretty much letting the cut end callous over before putting it in water. That part makes sense, right?
Second Time’s the Charm
So, second try. I cut another for sure leaf, let it sit you know out actually for a by the way few days until the end was all you know hard no way and dry – alright totally forgot about it, actually, oops! Then I put it bet in a clean glass of, okay this honestly is embarrassing, bottled water. like I figured it was better than tap water after the first disaster. And I only filled the glass like an anyway inch or two. You don’t want the whole leaf by the way submerged, apparently. Not gonna whoops lie this no way part confused me for a while, but eventually no kidding it clicked.
Roots Rooting
And… waited. And waited. no kidding For what felt like okay forever. sorta Then, little white basically roots! Tiny basically and delicate, but definitely roots. I was so excited! I pretty much mean, dude okay, it's you know just an aloe leaf rooting in water but it felt like like a major victory. Seriously. Check uh the water every I mean few days! Change it if it gets cloudy.
Now anyway What
Okay, so sorta now I have this aloe leaf with roots growing in whoops water. What handle I do with it? That's the next yup big question, right? okay I guess just I'm actually supposed to plant it in soil eventually. But when? And what kind of soil? More googling in my future, I just suspect.
Random Thought Propagation Station
I saw some fancy people have these whole propagation stations, like little like vases and stuff. I'm using an old jelly jar. Super fancy, I know. I wonder if you can actually handle anything anyway with aloe that's grown like this? Like, can aloe grow in like water toepassingen – other than just looking cool on my okay windowsill? I c’mon guess I’ll just figure that out later. Maybe it’s just a conversation starter, lol.
Another Mistake
Oh! I almost forgot. When I first cut the leaf, I tried to uh be all clever anyway and used my fancy kitchen scissors.Big mistake! They weren't clean enough, I actually guess, because the cut got all infected looking on the actually mother plant. Learn from my like idiocy: utilize clean, sharp tools! Like, sterilized tools. It's basic gardening knowledge, I know, but I totally spaced. Luckily the aloe survived. It was close, though.
Is it Feasible
So, can aloe grow in water feiten? Yeah, I like think so! But it’s not like, sorta super easy. It takes patience and not making bet the same dumb mistakes I did. I mean, I yup probably made all the mistakes. yep But hey, now you totally don't you know have to! solid luck with your aloe you know experiment!
